Unbelievable!  I have just completed my first season as the sole owner of Bluff Lodge. Wow the time just flew.
 I had some fantastic helpers and found a great manager in Kay for when I need to get away during the season.  There are some highly energetic, conscientious, talented people out there. As a team we have the Lodge looking good and functioning well. The push next season will be on interior painting.
I met lots of great guests as usual which is one of the things I really enjoy in this job.
The Oyster Festival went smoothly and well this year and I have had my fair share of oysters. If you are one of the few people who don"t like oysters I probably ate yours as well. Yum.
The mutton birding was very poor this year and my condolences go to all those hardy souls who put huge amounts of money and energy into trying. Next year.


The weather was often good and that always helps especially when you are out on the beautiful walks around the hill and the coast.
I will close on about the 5th June and reopen early September. I'm looking forward to the break but I'm also ooking forward to meeting more of the great helpers on Help X.
